Welcome to Blue News Tribune

Declaration of Principles

I'll provide the people of this city with a daily paper that will tell all the news honestly. I will also provide them with a fighting and tireless champion of their rights as citizens and as human beings. - Charles Foster Kane

- The first front page of The Enquirer in Citizen Kane

That quote isn't very bloggy, but I couldn't resist.

Welcome to Blue News Tribune! Why are we here?

The first reason is quite simple: I believe Massachusetts activists need a site dedicated to progressive politics.

Blue Mass Group is also a Soapblox site, but BMG's editors, all of who I respect, made the decision to give relatively free reign to some very conservative Republicans. I don't want to argue with Republicans, I want to see concerned Democrats keep the better party safe and strong by engaging in spirited, open debate. What I aspire to is closer to Blue Hampshire.

So welcome to the happy (left) medium.

If you worked on the presidential campaign, you've spent more time thinking about New Hampshire and every other battleground state in the last year than you have thought about Massachusetts. The Commonwealth needs attention.

It's time to come home.

Letting the days go by (4.00 / 1)
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? ...am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
My god!...what have I done?
-Talking Heads

where did I get this beautiful house ? (4.00 / 1)

Next time there may be no next time.

And the wife, I hope, is yours.

Always a good day (4.00 / 1)
when I can snag a single-digit user id#. :-)

But seriously, congrats and good luck! The site looks great.

You may just find yourself seriously busy with a MA-Sen race if Kerry gets plucked for something in BO's new world.

Thanks Dean! (0.00 / 0)
I look forward to your comments!

Don't Be A Stranger North Of The Border, Jim (4.00 / 2)
Hopefully we can keep all of New England blue! Kinship knows no borders, keep up the good work old friend, and don't be afraid to come north of the border or ask us Granite Staters to come south!

Thanks Andrew (0.00 / 0)
Consider yourself asked.

Clearly you can run, but you can't hide - Blue Hamsters will find you wherever you go!

Blue England lives! (4.00 / 1)
Congratulations, Jim, and good luck.

Look at all these New Hampshirites contributing to a Massachusetts Democratic initiative.  Oh, the irony!

Thanks Doug (0.00 / 0)
If Massachusetts goes red, will I be blamed?
